MOULIN ROUGE SPECTACULAR ON The Dixie Queen

About the Dixie Queen Inside views Conference Facilities Office Parties Christmas Parties

Razzle, dazzle! Let us transport you back to the visual decadence of Montmatre in the 1880’s when the ‘Can Can’ reigned supreme at the Club Moulin Rouge. From the moment you pass through the illuminated entrance and part the red tasselled curtains, we will immerse youin the Paris of the late nineteenth century. White-aproned waiters rush between tables, a French sketch artist draws portraits to earn a franc or two, ladies of the night stroll by before breaking into an impromptu ‘Can Can’ and there is music everywhere. Watch out for the card sharps and pickpockets ! Berets reign.

All the staff at the Club are costumed. The boat is decorated with framed theatrical posters, check table cloths, empty French wine bottles dripping with wax, red uplighters to set the mood and cut outs of dancers. Our themed Accordianist may invite you to join him for a few numbers from the repertoire of the ‘Sparrow of Paris’, Edith Piaf. A glass of fine Champagne to start, a sumptuous themed buffet to eat and afterwards time to either dance on the top deck or gamble your francs away at the French Casino downstairs in the Lower Salon. Fun, spectacle, laughter and magic. A night to remember. Actual content varies according to your budget. Ask for a breakdown of the optional costs.
